Quiet Threads & Shifting Seasons

It’s been a while since I last posted here. After the Still Image Award, things grew quiet on the crafty front — not intentionally, just slowly and quietly. Life gathered speed in ways that didn’t leave much room for paint or yarn or even daydreams.

I fell into a cycle of busyness that stifled my creativity. I wonder if others feel this too — that quiet ache of wanting to make, but not quite finding the space for it. Even photography, which I used to turn to instinctively, has felt heavy lately. I take the pictures, but the editing sits undone. Maybe it’s the noise of the online world, pulling energy outward and away from that gentle, inward spark where creativity lives.

The past months have been about recovery — from two major personal hits — and about rebuilding: my business, my rhythm, and my life. It’s been slow, sometimes uncertain, but it’s real. And perhaps that, too, is a kind of making.

So here I am again, saying hello from my little corner. No promises, no pressure — just a quiet return, and the hope that the creative thread will find its way back through the tangle.
